“We believe that all children have the right to learn to read and to develop a love of reading. Literacy is a fundamental skill that is often considered the path to good academics. Reading challenges can affect many areas of a child’s life and can be a source of distress that manifests in many areas.”

Diagnostic Assessment

Diagnostic assessments provide in-depth information about reading strengths and challenges. These range from standardized early literacy screenings to comprehensive inventories that measure fluency, comprehension, vocabulary and rate.

Multisensory Reading

Multisensory teaching includes the use of auditory, visual, tactile and motor-kinesthetic cues for learning – it is a valuable approach when teaching students with Dyslexia and reluctant readers.

Reading Intervention

Intervention programs focus on the individual reader, and his or her specific challenges. When learning deficits are identified and addressed early students are more likely to be confident and engaged learners.

A great enrichment program emphasizes the Joy of Reading by modeling a reading culture that inspires readers, encourages discussion, offers choice in reading, and a chance to have fun with reading.

The Wilson Reading System® (WRS) is a research-based reading and spelling program that uses a multisensory, curriculum addressing phonemic awareness, phonics and word study, encoding and comprehension.

Learning Disability Specialist

Learning Specialists are professionals with advanced training who evaluate and assist children with learning disabilities. They work with you, your child, and often your child’s school to devise strategies to compensate for learning deficits. Many work with children one-on-one to develop skills the child finds particularly challenging.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for the time you have spent working with my two children during this school year. I have seen a great improvement in their academic performance and in their confidence and desire to learn. This has been a very positive year for them.

And I am happy to say that because of her improved comprehension and attention to detail, Lilly will be placed in several AP classes when she starts middle school in the fall.

My daughter was pretty much a non-reader and quite frustrated that her little friends were already reading “chapter books.” Her self-confidence was in a shambles and my bright, happy little girl had begun to hate school.
